Extremely friendly staff!

Amazing stay, had a blast! Thanks for having us!

Loved it here!! We stayed in Papa Bear's the week of July 17th-21st. It was the perfect cabin for us! There were 6 of us and we all had our own comfy sleep space. Loved the fire pit on the back porch, loved watching all the wildlife come right up out of the woods to say hello. The mule deer will come up and eat right out of your hand (they love bananas and cheerios lol). Great spot for bird watchers too! There was a hummingbird feeder and we must have seen a million different species of hummingbirds come by for a drink. The ravens were fun to watch too. The cabin was even equipped with a cabinet full of board games and jigsaw puzzles for those lazy or rainy days! It was super clean and decorated beautifully.

It had everything we needed. You don't go to Ruidoso and stay in a hotel, you need a cabin and this is it. We were fortunate to discover it, and will never stay anywhere else!!

Very Clean, Cozy. The only down side was the trailer half of the home needs updating. Refrigerator is outdated, but it does work. Shower on the trailer side doesn't work. No water. Good thing there's another bigger and better restroom. Other than that, It's very clean. Loved being outside and on the deck/porch. Sat outside for hours. Very close to downtown shopping area. Managers Note: The bathroom in question is advertised as a 1/2 bath. The shower is not functional; the commode and sink are.

Cozy vacation We stayed here during the summer it's a tradition every year. I've only stayed in Rio a few times and it's always in the summer because the weather is always so amazing this time of year. We loved the cabin it was alot larger than we expected. Had a blast counting all the bears in the cabin. The owners had a great list of things to do so that made our trip way more eventful than we were expecting. We saw a million deer and bears! Wildlife is absolutely amazing.would and will be coming back next year for sure. Must go to flying j and zip lining!

It was a very nice stay in early July and we greatly enjoyed our visit. In detail, this cabin is in a convenient subdivision right off of Hwy 48. The Comfy Cabin required a "climbing" ingress in your vehicle to get to the cabin's location and a "down the stairs" trek on foot from the parking space located above the front door. If you lack mobility, this is not the cabin for you. We are fully mobile, so it was fine for us. The cabin was as clean as we expected it to be and after our usual cleanings of the tub, shower, and toilet, it was ready for our stay. It is pet friendly and our two hypoallergenic dogs were fine in and around the lodging. Though we did not use them, the cabin amenities included an outdoor gas fire pit, a hot tub (that was hot and ready under cover), and a wood-burning stove in the main living area. It did take a while to cool down late in the 80+ degree afternoon of our arrival because it only has one window A/C unit in the living area, but the rooms each have ceiling fans that helped immensely. The only negative was the carpet and there were some stains in the living area. If I could make one recommendation to the owners of the Comfy Cabin, it would be to remove all of the old carpet and replace it with wood laminate, tile, or other flooring. But regardless of this staining, I can recommend the cabin to friends.

Excellent rental We arrived June 30 and were pleasantly surprised at the inside and outside appearance of this rental. To the owners...great job remodeling We highly recommend renting this 2 bedroom 2 bath home. It does have a fluton as an extra bed. The layout was great for us too. Just be sure and use your GPS the first time to get to it. After that, I'm sure you will find, as we did, alternate routtes. Sit back and enjoy.

We booked this cabin at the last minute on a Fourth of July weekend, so we didn't set our expectations very high. What a pleasant surprise. It's a perfect landing pad for two. Nothing fancy, but certainly clean, comfortable, and cozy -- literally tucked away on a side street off of the main strip of restaurants, galleries, etc. Surprisingly quiet with very friendly neighbors. The photos don't do the cabin's exterior space justice. There's plenty of room and privacy to enjoy the beautiful weather, fire up the grill, etc. No grass for the pupps, but a great outdoor space that's fully enclosed to let them roam freely. For the price and comfort, we would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and friendly group of people

Totally enjoyed the quietness and deer roaming around our cabin and the wild turkeys. We even feed a deer watermelon, and my nephew was so excited he talked about it all the way home.

Great cozy cabin... the beds were great & cabin had everything we needed for our weekend. The only thing is please leave more dish soap. Other than that I highly recommend this cabin.

Cabin was clean and view was fantastic! Very quiet and peaceful.

Brother in laws birthday: We had a marvelous time spending time in and out of the cabin. Love this place and have so much fun by all. Thoroughly enjoyed the deer, elk, horses and even the skunk. Great family vacation. Want to be back soon.
