Very roomy, well decorated, great location. We enjoyed the hot tub. The kids loved seeing flocks of turkey & were especially excited to see the deer that would visit often. We loved the cabin and will definitely be back.

The form of the cabin is different, and the kitchen is so large and great area! Also had lots of useful stuff like blankets, stuff to clean, and love that it had TVs in every room!

Dear Guests, Welcome to Enchanted New Mexico and Ruidosos Honey Bear Cabin! I hope you enjoy your stay at my little perch on top of The Brady and Upper Canyon. This cabin has been a wonderful project over the years as Ive had this cabin since 2003. At that time, it was only a one bedroom. In 2008 I added the Master bedroom. Honey Bear was built in 1959. I know this because years ago when I took off and replaced all the exterior siding, I found a 1959 penny laying between the walls. I guess some framer back then wanted it to be like a time capsule. With that said Honey Bear has been with Cozy Cabins management since 2016. Each year Ive tried to make my cabin nicer with fixes and upgrades. My first addition was the Bull Frog hot tub on the back deck. Last year I added new wood siding to the living room along with an extra TV to the master bedroom and internet service. This year I have added a new laminate flooring and a new Red Retro Fridge. Hopefully soon I can add a half over head cover for the back deck and later adding a mini split AC unit. Cool features: If you like a to watch the early morning sun come up, Honey Bear offers a great sunrise in the summer months along with a wonderful view over the Brady Canyon. One of the coolest things I personally enjoy is on a clear night when the moons not out, is to set in the hot tub and turn off all the lights in the cabin and stare at the stars and the milky way, its like going to an observatory and watching stars a millions and millions miles away, just a relaxing step away from heaven. Also. If you like taking nice walks during the day theres a trail I enjoy thats about a half mile long through the upper south side of the upper canyon. Makes you feel like youre alone in the forest miles away from civilization. Ive walked this trail and at times have seen lots of Deer along with Wild Turkey. On occasion Ive seen a bear or two passes by also. Honey Bear Cabin is small romantic cabin that is a great get away from it all. If you are needing to have a family get together and need more rooms the cabin next door (Mountain Hideaway) Is available through Cozy Cabins management. Some guests will book both cabins and that is great! Be sure if you are staying in the winter months to have 4-wheel drive or have chains available as some of the roads up here are steep. Please be sure to leave a review on Cozy Cabins web page, Facebook and google as your opinion and feedback is especially important. Cheers! Owner Honey Bear

Cozy small cabin with nice hot tub in back. I would not have more than 3 in this cabin as kitchen is quite small and only one very small bathroom. Water pressure in shower is not good, but bed was quite comfortable. When we arrived, hot tub was not working, but mngmt was quick to respond and Jerry was out the next day to fix...so we did have use of tub for 2 of our 3 nights.

Had a great and relaxing weekend at the Honey Bear Cabin with my family! The hot tub was dirty upon arrival however once it was brought to the property managers attention, there was a maintenance man at the cabin within an hour or so! Our favorite part ended up being the hot tub surrounded by snow! It is a quaint and cozy cabin. Perfect for 4! We would definitely stay there again!

Dear Guests, Four years ago, when my husband and I decided to start looking for a condo in the Ruidoso area, we were on a three-to-five-year plan to find one. We bought the first one we looked at; The Great Escape and have never looked back. What appealed to us the most is the closeness to wildlife. We regularly see deer, elk, wild turkey, bear (we had a mother and two cubs one spring), and of course the wild horse herds (2) that wander through frequently; looking for apple slices, carrots, or wild-bird seed hanging from feeders. All of this right in our front and back yards. Not to be outdone by the wildlife is the view of Sierra Blanca out on one whole side of the condo and Eagle Creek just in front, off of the two front balconies. The creek runs year-around and sports a pair of mallards in the spring and has been known to harbor a few trout in the pool just beside the drive. We love being out of town but close to town. We love the sun setting behind the mountains, tracking the moon and stars, listening to the elk bellow, and the peace and quiet that the valley has to offer. We hope you will, too. Please check out the red, three-ring binder that we have put together of local attractions. We hope that you will have a great stay and make many new memories here and visit for many years to come. Please be sure to leave a review on Cozy Cabins web page, Facebook and google as your opinion and feedback is especially important. Happy Trails, The Great Escape Owners

The house exceeded our expectation, close to lots of stores, Dollar Tree & Walmart literally about 5 minutes away (right around the corner), would use home again, if driveway updated / fixed something, very spacious, the master bathroom we loved it, just said the jets were not working in the big jacuzzi tub, which didn't stop us from soaking in baths, home had everything you could probably think of needing, we cooked everyday there in the home only ordered pizza first night there for a late night snack, saw lots of wildlife right outside our window, my babies loved it, we took a little walk out back & down the street, was quiet & calm. Seemed like a good neighborhood

Dear Guests, Welcome to The Flying Bear Ranch! You might wonder how the ranch came to be named The Flying Bear. Well that occurred many years ago as my brother Joe and I were sitting out back early one morning drinking our coffee and enjoying the many splendors of the ranch. Joe spotted something black in an old dead tree and exclaimed Look a bear has crawled up in that tree! I didnt think it was big enough to be a bear, so I questioned the possibility. He promptly stated Let me get my binoculars and Ill prove it to you! He came back outside with the largest pair of binoculars I had ever seen. He studied it for quite some time with the binoculars, still insisting it was a bear up in that tree. About that time, Hannah, his five year old daughter, walked outside still rubbing the sleep from her eyes. He handed her the binoculars and told her to look at the tree and convince me it was a bear. She could barely lift the binoculars, they were almost as big as her. About that time the critter in the tree moved. Without missing a beat, she told her dad, Well Dad if its a bear, its a flying bear! LOL. And thats how we chose the name. We are proud of our very private end of the road ranch consisting of approximately 260 pristine acres surrounded on three sides by public land and national forest. The house is a non-typical style consisting of some very old wood purchased in Fredericksburg, Texas and used in the ceilings. This wood adds a certain flair uncommon to this area. The cabin is decorated with fine art by recognizable artists such as LeRoy Neiman, Thomas Kinkade, Martin Grelle, Tim Yanke, Dan Brewer and many others. A few of these amazing works are originals. There are also two wall murals painted by a local Ruidoso artist. When Im here I like to indulge myself in all this home has to offer, so I hope you will do the same. I hope that you enjoy your stay here and have the kind of memories that brings you back to visit for many years to come. Owner: The Flying Bear Ranch

Dear Guests, Welcome to Peaceful Pines Cabin! We hope you enjoy the peace and serenity that makes our cabin special. For years, my husband and I dreamed of owning a home in Ruidoso, and we finally purchased our cabin in August 2020. We are very excited to share our dream come true with each and every one of you. We love the entire town of Ruidoso the restaurants, the shops, and all the treasures in between. But our favorite thing is being outside exploring all this beautiful mountain town has to offer. All year-round there is something fun to do outdoors. We particularly love Grindstone Lake and Lake Alto, as well as hiking the numerous trails, and skiing at Ski Apache. Cloudcroft, White Sands, and the Lincoln National Forest are also nearby and offer lots of things to do. We love that you can be driving through town, and traffic is stopped because an elk herd is passing. That is the best kind of traffic jam in our opinion! Our cabin is set up to make you feel at home. The sunroom and covered deck are our favorite places to relax and spend time with family and friends. You can really take in all the natural beauty that surrounds our cabin, from the beautiful trees, to the wildlife that pays us a visit, to just the sound of nature itself. We like to start our mornings by sipping coffee and breathing in the fresh mountain air. For those really cold nights, sitting by the fireplace is the place to be. We look forward to our visits, and try to get here as often as possible....which is never enough! Ruidoso is breathtaking year-round, so theres never a bad time for a visit. We hope you will have a great stay, make many happy memories here, and continue to visit us for many years to come. Please be sure to leave a review on the Cozy Cabins web page, Facebook, and Google, as your opinion and feedback is especially important to us. Cheers! The Owners of Peaceful Pines Cabin

We definitely enjoyed our stay, have already recommended to some family and friends and are hopeful we will join them soon to enjoy again. I would suggest two things overall: 1. Allow your clients to leave the keys to the property in the property upon check-out. Naming a specific location where the keys should be left would make it more convenient and let your clients be on their way faster to their next destination. 2. Allow for either a discount OR no charge late check-out for your clients who arrive after hours (i.e.: clients who arrive at the property after 7 or 8 p.m. be allowed to check out at 11 a.m. vs. 10 a.m. at no additional cost). Thank You for offering such a lovely, clean and well stocked property to stay in. We left missing it as we drove away and are excited to visit again in the future!

Dear Guests, Welcome to our little bit of Heaven. We pray that you enjoy your time here as much as we do. We have come to Ruidoso every year to celebrate our anniversary for more years than we can count. Our favorite place to stay became A Stones Thoreau. We have spent so much time walking along the river and pathways just talking and enjoying the peacefulness that is Ruidoso. We never imagined in our wildest dreams that God would enable us to now own it. It is with gratitude in our hearts that we now share it with you. Some of our favorite ways to enjoy the cabin are: early morning coffee or tea on the porch, visiting with the forest animals that love to wander by; movie watching with windows open and the sound of rain coming down; playing family games by the fire; long talks in the hot tub; dinner on the porch looking up at the stars, and a peaceful nights sleep listening to the river. No matter the season, we hope that you enjoy the many restaurants, hiking trails, skiing and tubing, craft/food fairs and store that the beautiful village of Ruidoso has to offer. We hope that you enjoy your stay in our mountain home and make memories that will last forever. Sincerely, Todd & Kathy Peterson

Dear Guests: Welcome to Comfy Cabin! We hope you enjoy your stay here at our happy place. My husbands parents owned a place in Cloudcroft for many years that we enjoyed taking our children to when they were very young. Eventually, his mother had to sell the property. Over the next few years, we missed that special place. On our 25th wedding anniversary, my husband planned a weekend stay in Ruidoso. After that weekend, we realized how much we really missed the mountains, cool weather, wildlife, and beautiful views of Gods creation. Less than a year later we purchased Comfy Cabin. Now our grown children and grandchildren can enjoy this fun memorable cabin as well. The view from the back deck is incredible! We love to sit out there and just marvel at Gods creation and enjoy the deer, hummingbirds, and elk. We eventually added a hot tub where we relax and enjoy looking at the stars. Down below the back deck is a relaxing fire pit where you can enjoy making smores or just sit and talk. Comfy is secluded from the hustle and bustle of downtown, yet you can get to downtown in just minutes if you want to shop and see the sites. Ruidoso is a beautiful place any time of year. We hope you enjoy your visit here at Comfy Cabin and come back and see us again soon. Thank you, Judy and David Criner
