Very sweet, and easy to talk to.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at 2nd street retreat. The cabin was just perfect for our family of 5, with the best beds on the planet! Seriously, they are absolutely amazing. The kids enjoyed exploring the woods around the cabin, and the hot tub was a very big plus for us. We felt very safe during our stay.

Everyone was so helpful even during this pandemic. Telephone communications was great and very friendly.

We enjoyed the space, the accommodations, the area, and the staff. Were planning to attend every year.

Dear Guests, Welcome to River Bear Cabin! I hope that you enjoy my little slice of heaven on the river as much as I do. My family purchased this cabin a few years ago after watching it rent for many years. When the opportunity to purchase presented itself, I sprang into action and felt my heart skip with anticipation to have this be a rental I could enjoy and share with you. There are many cute and eccentric parts to River Bear Cabin: the covered screened in porch is one of my favorites year-round. Even when there is snow, I cover up in a big blanket and listen to the river with hot tea in hand and a good book. The bath boulder makes me smile every time I walk into the bathroom. It is like the builder said nope, not trying to move that big guy so let us make do and build around it! In the mornings I take my fur baby for a little walk along the Rio Ruidoso River. She gets so excited and loves to chase butterflies. To start my day with the rejuvenation of a little calming river walk is priceless. In the evenings on cool night the fireplace is my spot. I like to relax in the chair watching the flames dance and look at the personalized mural on the wall that my daughter painted for me. Hopefully, she will return and finish the last of the paint by numbers soon. Ruidoso is breathtaking year-round, and this cabin draws me to visit more each time I am here. I hope that you will have a great stay and make many new memories here and visit for many years to come. Charming little cabin

In the time of Covid, this place felt really safe! Even check-in is contactless. And the space seemed very clean. The kitchen and fridge are quite tiny though, so if you plan on doing your own cooking, plan accordingly.

Amazing place, hot tub was wonderful, veiws were amazing! We had several guests (deer) during the morning, and evening. Such a wonderful sight to see. Would definitely come back.

My family and I loved this cabin. It was nice, small, and very clean. We had a very relaxing stay. I truly recommend this cabin for a weekend stay.

A very cozy cabin and we had a great stay! Nice fenced area for the dogs. Accurate to photos. Comfortable beds. Rustic cabin with modern touches. Safe covid check in and check out.

Great accommodations, clean, overall more than we expected.

This place was nice for a last minute weekend getaway. Its roomy for 3-4 people. Kitchen is small but It was no problem for us. We booked this place for the hot tub but unfortunately it only worked for us one night and they are refunding for the amenity. There is a grocery store right down the hill that was convenient for us too! Manager's Note: the hot tub was repaired 10/1/20 when part arrived. It is fully functional. We are so sorry Deandra could not use both nights.

Dear Guests, My husband and I are both Lubbock natives now in our 70s and believe it or not, wed never been to Ruidoso until a friend in Lubbock told me about a Condo she had bought as a rental property here. Since we wanted to escape the Lubbock heat, we asked to use her condo, came for the first time ever in May of 2018, fell in love with Ruidoso, River Cabin and we closed on this cabin in June 2018. Several years ago, wonderful couple had done so much to this cabin to make it larger and add some great comforts for you. However, by the time we bought the cabin things had been removed by the previous owner. So, our first challenge was to make this 1940s cabin feels like a cabin we would want to visit, and youd be comfortable staying in. We tried to add a few things from the past (40s & 50s) and be sure you have everything you need for a weekend or week-long stay. We also wanted to add and keep the things that will remind you that you are in a cabin where deer could be in the front yard when you leave the gate open. Having two small fur babies when we first saw this cabin, we were excited to see the fully fenced front and back yards. So, our fur babies can be in both the front yard when we have coffee on the front porch in the morning and in the back with us when we grill outside or as we enjoy the hot tub year-round. So, please make yourself comfortable and enjoy your stay at River Cabin. The house was everything we expected and more! Very satisfied with all the furnishings and was very happy with accommodations.

OMG, does not describe this place, cabin is beautiful, the scenery wow, wait till u go out to back deck , didn't want to leave but reality waits so looking forward to our next trip Cozy cabins thank you

Comfortable, homey, peaceful and relaxing. Cook wear should be updated... I LOVE cooking and if I had known that the cook wear was going to be sooo outdated I would of brought my own. Really recommend!

Other than anxiety that our key was not ready and had to comeback later then given wrong map to Property. Caused unneeded stress. Bad start
